1. WHO WE ARE
NOBS is a property advisory and authorised translation service operating from Romania. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share personal data in connection with our services and our website at nobs.ro.

2. WHAT DATA WE COLLECT
We collect personal data only when you provide it to us, and only what is needed to respond to you and provide the services you have requested.
Contact form. When you write to us, we receive your name, email address, any other contact details you choose to share, and the contents of your message.
Discovery Trip bookings. If you book a Discovery Trip, we receive the names and contact details of all travellers, your travel dates, properties of interest, dietary or accessibility requirements you choose to share, and payment information processed by our payment provider.
Translation requests. When you send a document for translation or for a quote, we receive the document itself, which may contain personal data of the document's subject (you or third parties named in the document, such as parties to a contract, certificate, or court document).
Buyer representation engagements. If you engage NOBS for property representation, we receive identification documents, financial information related to the transaction, and correspondence with sellers, agents, notaries, and authorities on your behalf.
Website analytics. When you visit our website, we receive technical information through cookies and similar technologies. See our Cookie Policy for details.
3. WHY WE USE IT
We process personal data only on a recognised lawful basis under Article 6 of the GDPR.
To respond to your inquiries: legitimate interests.
To deliver the services you have engaged us for: performance of a contract.
To process documents you submit for translation: with your consent and, once engaged, performance of a contract.
To comply with Romanian tax, accounting, and translator-authorisation record-keeping laws: legal obligation.
To improve the website and understand how it is used: legitimate interests, with consent for non-essential cookies.
We do not sell personal data. We do not use personal data for automated decision-making.
4. WHO WE SHARE IT WITH
We share personal data only as needed to deliver our services or comply with the law.
Wix.com Ltd, our website hosting and forms provider, processes the data you submit through our site. Wix is GDPR-compliant and provides a Data Processing Agreement.
[ANALYTICS PROVIDER, IF USED — e.g. Google Analytics 4 in IP-anonymised mode], for understanding how the website is used.
Notaries, public authorities, the Land Book office, courts, the cadastre, and foreign authorities, when required to deliver translations, interpretation, or representation work that involves them.
Professional collaborators (lawyers, accountants, contractors) when they are working on your engagement and are bound by their own professional confidentiality.
Romanian tax authorities, or where required by law.
Legal Obligation: For client identification and due diligence to prevent money laundering and terrorist financing, in accordance with Law no. 129/2019.
Legal Obligation: To maintain financial and accounting records as required by Romanian tax law.
Special Categories of Data: For translation services, we may process sensitive data (such as health information, criminal records, or religious beliefs) only if they are included in the documents you provide. This processing is based on Article 9(2)(g) or Article 10 of the GDPR, as it is necessary for reasons of substantial public interest or the exercise of legal rights.
We do not share personal data with marketing partners.
5. INTERNATIONAL TRANSFERS
Some of our service providers (notably Wix) are based outside the European Economic Area. Where personal data is transferred outside the EEA, we rely on the safeguards required under Chapter V of the GDPR, including the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses. You can request a copy of these safeguards from tom@nobs.ro.
6. HOW LONG WE KEEP IT
We keep personal data only as long as necessary for the purpose it was collected and the legal obligations that apply.
Contact form messages: up to 24 months from the last contact, unless an engagement begins.
Discovery Trip records: up to 3 years from the trip, for tax and bookkeeping.
Translation records: as required by Ministry of Justice authorisation rules and Romanian tax law (typically 10 years for invoiced work).
Buyer representation files: up to 10 years from the closing of the transaction, for legal and tax purposes.
Website analytics: as configured in our Cookie Policy.
After these periods, the data is deleted or anonymised.
7. YOUR RIGHTS
Under GDPR, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Have inaccurate data corrected (rectification)
- Have your data deleted (erasure / "right to be forgotten")
- Restrict how we process your data
- Receive your data in a portable format
- Object to processing based on legitimate interests
- Withdraw consent for any processing that relies on consent
- Lodge a complaint with the Romanian Data Protection Authority

8. SECURITY
We use commercially reasonable measures to protect personal data, including HTTPS for all website traffic, encrypted storage where appropriate, and limited access controls. For ongoing translation and representation engagements, sensitive documents are exchanged through encrypted file transfer rather than the website contact form.
9. CHILDREN
The NOBS website and services are not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
10. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The current version is dated below, and material changes will be announced on the website.
